Neville fits the description of a true Renaissance man: explorer, mountaineer, author, journalist and a lecturer on philosophy, theatre and the arts.

Neville continues  to work extensively in the theatre and film industries and is Chairman of the Theatre Forum, Director of the International Institute for Dance and Theatre and is a non-executive director of Shepperton Film Studios as well as being a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.

He is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, Fellow of the Explorers Club of New York, Member of the Scientific Exploration Society and sponsors annual Awards for all of these important societies as well as for the conservation organisation Earthwatch Institute.  Every year he carries out expeditions to remote and mountainous areas of the World.

Neville has been a passionate and committed supporter of us in all our guises for over 20 years, raising many hundreds of thousands of pounds. He was the founding Fellow and Chairman of the George Thomas Society: a committee formed in honour of Lord Tonypandy, who was, at the time, the President of the charity.

Neville undertook a personal challenge in November 2010, climbing some of the peaks of Azerbaijan. He climbed eight mountains in ten days for two charities, including us.

"I am always delighted to continue my longstanding support for Action for Children, this essential Charity with its great history of guiding and helping neglected, impoverished or disabled children and their families."

Neville Shulman CBE
