As a Member of Parliament, Hilary Armstrong has  served on the opposition front bench as a spokesperson and a Government Minister. In 2001, Hilary was promoted to the Cabinet, appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury, and became Government Chief Whip. She was re–appointed as Government Chief Whip in 2005.

In 2010, she was made a life peer, as Baroness Armstrong of Hill Top. A member of our board between 1985-1991, Hillary regularly attends our events. She hosted the Parliamentary Reception, 2008, and acted as Chair at Party Conference breakfast summit in 2010. She is also an active advocate of ours in the House of Lords.
